The ground refueling valve enables the connection of the ground refueling adapter and central refueling of aircraft tanks. The inlet port of the Valve is protected with a cap attached to the aircraft frame via a chain.
When refueling, the cap is removed and the refueling adapter, connected via a poppet type valve, opens the fuel flow to the tank. When the refueling adapter is removed, the poppet valve closes the fuel line.
